Happy Earth Day 2020 to our Tapiche friends and family! We hope you are all safe, happy and well in your respective corners of the world.
At our remote Amazon jungle reserve in northern Peru, we've been experimenting with a camera trap placed at strategic locations where we suspect animals come to feed. Lo and behold, here is a South American tapir (Tapirus terrestris, IUCN conservation status: Vulnerable) happily munching away in the middle of the night!
